Travelling With Kids on the Costa Blanca: Car Seats, Luggage & Long Transfers
Practical tips for family travel from Alicante Airport — car seats, luggage limits, stops, snacks, and how to keep kids happy on a 90-minute drive.
A long flight, a tired toddler, and a hot car park is nobody's idea of a holiday start. After years of driving families across the Costa Blanca, here's what we've learned makes the difference.
Car seats — request them, always
Spanish law requires children under 135 cm to use an approved car seat. AliGo Transfers provides infant carriers, toddler seats, and high-back boosters free of charge — just tick the box when you book. We bring them clean, mounted, and ready.
Luggage planning
Standard saloon: 3 large + 3 cabin cases. Larger families should request a people-carrier or van at booking — there's no extra charge for upsizing if we can fit you in. Pushchairs and travel cots don't count toward your case allowance.
Long-distance transfers
If you're heading to Murcia, Valencia, or Dénia (60+ minutes), let us know in the booking notes if you'd like a 5-minute toilet/snack stop. Drivers will plan a safe service-station break — no surcharge.
Keep them happy
- Pack a small "transfer bag" in your hand luggage: water, a snack, a tablet, headphones, and one familiar toy.
- Tell us the youngest passenger's age — we'll pre-set the air conditioning gently.
- Drivers happily play family-friendly music or stay quiet — just say.
